You made it to day five of the challenge. I like a woman who makes a commitment and follows it through. Today’s prompt is about information consumption.
Well. I used to think that more information was better, but I was wrong. It’s possible to over-consume information and it can lead to more fear, more anxiety, and more harm if we aren’t careful.
We have to be the gatekeepers of what we allow to permeate our thoughts.
- If you watch 10 negative birth stories, well you may begin to think about birth in a negative life.
- If your tune in to only information about ‘natural’ birth, you may begin to believe that a necessary c-section is a ‘failed’ birth experience.
Today, I invite you to narrow down your list of resources you consume. I may be on the chopping block too and that’s okay if this content isn’t serving you. The point is to focus on you and what you need. Start prioritizing your own mental and physical well-being, it’s one of the best ways to begin your journey as a Damn Good Mom.
